Abhishek N. Chinnappa is an independent editorial photographer, journalist and multidisciplinary storyteller in South India. Over time, he has developed a critical eye in examining larger political, social, environmental, and cultural issues, which enables him to deliver sincere content.

He worked with the global news wire Reuters for six years as a photojournalist, covering various topics from politics, conflict, and economy to lifestyle and sport.

His work, termed ‘fresh and intelligent’ by a senior editor at Reuters, has been published in some of the most credible and reputed newspapers, magazines, and digital editorial spaces across the globe.

With a degree in English Literature, he spent seven years as the media liaison to a global spiritual leader in the Himalayas before pursuing a career in photojournalism.

He is trained in Hostile Environment and Emergency First Aid Training (HEFAT) for journalists and is available for work in India and further afield where he brings with him a zeal to deliver honest and meaningful visual language.
